When to visit

High Season (December - February)

  • Best for: Long daylight hours (up to 17 hours), warmest weather, full access to all trails.

  • Weather: Daytime temperatures 10-20°C, strong winds common.

  • Expect: Busier trails, higher prices, good wildlife viewing.

  • Perfect for: First-time visitors, photography, families.

Shoulder Season (October-November, March-April)

  • Best for: Fewer crowds, dramatic autumn colours (March-April), spring flowers (October-November).

  • Weather: Cooler temperatures 5-15°C, more variable conditions.

  • Expect: Some trails may have snow, excellent value, changing landscapes.

  • Perfect for: Experienced hikers, budget travellers, photographers.
