Reasons to Visit Belize

Belize packs a huge amount in, for such a small country. It is a destination for adventurers, nature lovers, and culture seekers. Its combination of Mayan heritage, tropical landscapes, and Caribbean-influenced culture makes it uniquely versatile.

Belize’s biodiversity and vibrant local communities provide year-round adventure, with quieter travel in the rainy season offering unique wildlife encounters.

  • Best for: Wildlife spotting, jungle trekking, snorkelling on the barrier reef, and exploring small, traditional villages.

  • Getting there: Flights from London take around 11–12 hours with one stopover. Belize City is the main gateway.

  • Entry requirements: UK passport holders require a passport valid for six months beyond travel dates. Check the FCDO travel advice for visa and entry updates.
