When to visit

December – April (Dry Season)

xpect warm, sunny days with minimal rain. Perfect for exploring Antigua, hiking volcanoes, and enjoying Lake Atitlán.
Good for: Outdoor adventures, cultural sightseeing, and festival visits like Semana Santa in Antigua.

 

May – June (Early Rainy Season)

Afternoons may bring short showers, but landscapes are lush and green. Fewer tourists and lower prices than peak season.
Good for: Nature lovers, photography, and quieter exploration of highland villages.

July – August (High Summer)

Occasional rain, but warm temperatures make it ideal for hiking and lake activities. Tourist numbers are moderate.
Good for: Volcano treks, exploring Tikal, and experiencing local summer festivals.

 

September – November (Rainy Season)

​Heaviest rainfall occurs, especially in September and October, with some roads harder to access. Landscapes are vibrant and wildlife is active.
Good for: Birdwatching, lush jungle photography, and off-season bargains.
